With our unique mobile HORSEBOX DARKROOM, we take photography on the road bringing creativity & wellness to the public with our PINHOLES + PORTRAITS.
PINHOLES
Take PINHOLE images with our pre-loaded cameras. Develop your images in our unique mobile HORSEBOX DARKROOM.
You get to see your image emerge before your eyes in the developing tray.
Pinhole photography encourages you to breathe, pause, and be truly present in a single moment. With exposures lasting upwards of twenty seconds a pinhole image doesn't just document a location, it absorbs time.
Our mobile HORSEBOX DARKROOM also becomes its own attraction, a spectacle that encourages creativity whilst giving people a handmade artefact of their experience.
Well Lit Photo Club bring pinhole photography to all kinds of outdoor public events.
PORTRAITS
Well Lit Photo Club specialise in Paper Negative Portraiture, with exposures taken on vintage photo papers, some of them over 75 years old. Each portrait is hand developed providing unique historic prints.

As soon as we set up our Large Format Camera it becomes a focal point that draws crowds in.
Traditional Portraiture gives attendees a unique and memorable experience elevating all kinds of indoor and outdoor events.
CLIENTS
Bringing Traditional Photography to Boomtown Festival
With over 77,000 attendees, Boomtown is one of the UKs biggest music and arts festivals.
As part of the walkabout entertainment in Boomtown's 1920s inspired Copperwood zone, Well Lit Photo Club provided pinhole and portraiture to over 600 people.
Boomtowners took pinhole exposures in our pre-loaded cameras, each image captured a moment in time with exposures lasting 20 seconds or more. Some Boomtowners waited 2 days to capture their perfect moment.
With our unique DIY Lego Large Format camera we ensured our portraiture was fun and spontaneous, taking over 150 portraits on a variety of vintage photo papers.

OR EQUIPMENT
Our workshops bring creativity, heritage, and traditional photography directly to young people. To date, we've worked with over 400 school pupils, and in 2026 we plan to bring pinhole photography workshops to 150 more kids.
Well Lit Photo Club work with social enterprises to deliver free traditional photography workshops.
